Troon Lochgreen

Ther's a decent practice putting green, but if you want a driving range it's a bit of a walk. Once you get there it's also extremely basic. Winter tees just now, but still very good for this time of year. The course maintenance staff are very good and work hard to keep the course in a very good condition. What spoils the course, unfortunately, is some of the visitors that use it. I have seen a few people hack chunks out of the fairways and not repair their damage. I also find I repair a lot more than my own pitch marks on the greens. The views from some of the fairways and tees is very good, on a few you overlook Royal Troon. As for value for money... hard to beat.

Great golf course for little cash. Staff are helpful and welcoming. Newly refurbished clubhouse. Has been used as qualifier for the open several times and parts of the course run alongside Royal Troon.

Langes Wochenende an der Westküste Schottlands. Ein öffentlicher Links Platz gespielt da es am Wochenende schwierig ist auf einem privaten Platz zu spielen, sie sind meistens den Member vorenthalten oder es werden Turniere gespielt. Die Pflege ist natürlich nicht auf dem level eines Topplatzes dafür ist das Greenfee sehr moderat mit 30 - 35 £. Der Platz ist mit Par 74 sehr lang aber nicht besonders anspruchsvoll, die Greens waren bei uns sehr langsam. Personal ist sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit.
