Very good design. Everyting on place. First nine are flat and the second nine hilly. You have to play this course, if you are nearby.

Very nice Jack Nicklaus designed golf course (the very 1st one in Continental Europe) where precision is the key if you want to score here. Not very long but most of the greens are quite small and well protected. Same goes for thr Par 3's which are not long but it is not easy to get to the dance floor. Das erste Mal auf dieser Anlage. Wir wundern uns dass das GREEN FEE im Juli/August (Festspiele Salzburg?) an Wochentagen von € 75,00 auf € 100,00 raufgesetzt wird. Der platz selbst ist gut gepflegt, freundlicher Service im Restaurant.

Altentann gehört mit Sicherheit zu den schönsten Plätzen in Österreich! Die Handschrift von Jack Nicklaus ist im Platzdesign klar zu erkennen, die Pflege des Platzes sucht in der Umgebung seinesgleichen. Abwechslungsreiche Spielbahnen, aber alles andere als leicht. Negativ: die überdurchschnittlich hohen Preise! Aber so ist das halt auf den "Leading Golf Courses"...
