Best Golfcourse in Las Vegas besides Shadow Creek and I have played them all.

I played this golf course right after Shadow Creek, so it had a relatively high bar to meet. I must say it seemed familiar to be, being used to play in the desert. I’s located about 30 minutes’ drive away from Las Vegas Boulevard and is located on Native American Land, Native Americans also operate the resort that has 54 holes.
After arriving, you check in at a well-stocked Pro shop in the main building, where you also have the restaurant, bar etc…
The first thing I would note is the fact that the club does not really have any proper changing/shower facilities for day visitors, since it’s in the middle of the desert and you play under a relatively hot sun, it can be a bit problematic, it was quite common actually at the clubs I visited in the US, and I don’t understand it, shower facilities should be a must in any sporting complex/resort. Luckily, I was dressed to play and only had the inconvenience of not being able to shower after my round. In any case, I made my way to the practice are that is being nicely maintained, not overcrowded and offers all the facilities you might need to warm up for your round, from long/short game, putting etc…
I played the main course and even though it was a Monday afternoon, the course was relatively busy. The club operates a strict no walking policy, you are obliged to use a cart and obey the 90degree rule, it is supposed to increase the pace of play. Personally, I do not like using golf carts, I prefer walking, especially on this kind of a course that is relatively flat and physically not demanding. You also get the pleasure of hearing the rules from the started that does not play around, a nice person, but strict, we ended up having a fun 20-minute discussion on the course since I played through 4 groups and had some time on my hands. I must say that the course is fun to play, despite the relatively simple design, where every hole is a bit isolated from the others, in other terms, unless you have a player in front of you, you don’t really see other golfers on adjacent holes. The course is relatively forgiving in terms of mishits from the tee, you would usually have more than enough room to play around with your slices, except on the holes where water comes into play, there you need to be a bit more precise, especially on the signature par 3 island green, not a lot of room for error there. I played it from the back tees and I think it’s the way to do it, provided you can hit it longer than 260yards, the landing areas are great and you are rewarded with a nice approach shoot. Overall, the course was in a really good condition, fairways were nicely maintained, greens had no pitch marks or burned out areas, tee boxes well groomed, just a pleasure to play. Also, the rough is quite manageable, it does not kill your shoot if you end up in it.
All in all, I would recommend to play the course if you’re in the area.

Solid golf course especially off the back tees. Worth a visit.
