This is always a very enjoyable links course to play with one of the most visually exciting first holes anywhere in golf. I have played many times and it is clear to see that constant battering from the Atlantic makes greenkeeping hard, and they tend to leave the greens a bit furry. A great layout, wonderful staff and taking a caddy always helps.

Trump International Doonbeg is very good links layout with some great holes however I think the rough is just way too brutal for a resort golf course especially if you play it 2 days in a row with 40-50 mp/h wind. Trust me, it was not a pretty site even though it was sunny... so unless you can really shape your shots and hit it low make sure you bring a lot of balls with …

Really nice golf course with perfect maintenance. Allthough it’s a links course you don’t see the sea all the time as the dunes are quite high.
