Millport Golf Club

I PLAY THIS COURSE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AND ALWAYS MARVEL AT THE SCENERY WITH VIEWS FROM THE AISLA CRAIG, ARRAN, MULL OF KINTYRE AND KYLES OF BUTE. IT IS AN ADVENTURE TO GO THERE. IT'S ONLY A 8 MINUTE FERRY RIDE FROM THE MAINLAND TO THE ISLE OF CUMBRAE WHERE THE COURSE IS LOCATED. THE WELCOME I RECEIVE IS ALWAYS THE SAME MAKING ME FEEL LIKE A FRIEND. TYHE COURSE ITSELF IS SLIGHTLY TESTING WITH THE 12th HOLE A POTENTIAL CARD WRECKER. THE FOOD IN THE CLUBHOUSE IS OF A VERY GOOD STANDARD WITH THE FISH AND CHIPS BEING MY FAVORITE MAINLY DUE TO THE SIZE OF THE FISH, THE REST OF THE MENU IS ALSO VERY NICE AND CATERS FOR ALL TASTES. OFALL THE COURSES I HAVE PLAYED THIS IS MY FAVORITE AND BRINGS ME BACK YEAR ON YEAR.

You need to play this course with blinkers on if you want to concentrate on your golf due to the fantastic views that behold you. From the twelth tee if you look south you see Ailsa Craig comming up you see Arran thenThe Mull of Kintyre, Sleeping warrior right up to the Kyles of Bute. After your game go into the clubhouse and try the fish and chips, they have trouble fitting the fish on the plate, lovely menu. I can honestly say it is the nicest course I have ever played.
