Wellshurst Golf & Country Club

Nice short course for beginners and high handicapped players. Low handicap players would tear this course apart. I had 45pts playing off my club handicap of 16. If you got a low handicap playing at this course, you would never get a decent score elsewhere on a more difficult course. Some interesting holes to play. Fairways are a bit rough looking and if you stray off the fairways you encounter the long grass and I mean long! The greens are in very good condition, a tad on the slow side to be honest. One negative thing about this course is don't play it in the winter as the fairways get very wet and boggy due to the clay soil. The clubhouse is nicely done out with a good range of equipment in the pro shop. They have just recently had the driving range reopened due to being redone.
