The Scandinavian, located about 25 min north of Denmark's capital of Copenhagen, is one of the few golf clubs with both courses consistently ranked in the Top 50 of Top Courses in Continental Europe. The club provides discerning golfers with a choice of 36 holes, designed by Robert Trent Jones II which are laid out in 500 acres of forest separated by streams leading into natural ponds. Both 'Old Course' and 'New Course offer immaculately mowed and fast greens with an uninterrupted and tranquil golf experience unlike anything else in Denmark.

Vi havde en helt fantastisk runde. Sikke en bane og sublime rammer omkring golfspillet. Klart den bedste bane jeg nogensinde har spillet. Udfordrerne og alligevel overskuelig bane. Det er (forhåbentlig) ikke sidste gang jeg spiller The Scandinavian.

Banen står helt fantastisk flot og er både udfordrende, men også fair når man spiller godt.

Quite demanding if you are playing the course for the first time. Compared to the Old Course I think accuracy is actually much more important on this course. Lots of dogleg holes and again quite a few intimidating tee shots to narrow fairways. Even with very good drives Par-5's are again not reachable in two as they are all real monsters with landing spots in the size of a beach towel.
The course was in great condition with superb fairways and very good greens. Clubhouse was designed by the most famous Danish architect and it is one of the best I have seen with nice interior design and lots of nice sculptures. Pro-shop is very well stocked. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the service is superb. The beautiful lodge on the Old Course is also a great place to stay with a lovely view of the 2nd hole. It has 3 bedrooms and it will accommodate 6 people.
A course well worth playing...

The Scandinavian New Course
18 holesAt tournament length, New Course stretches to 6,481 meters or close to 7,100 yards which allows golfers to 'open the shoulders' on several of the holes. With strategically placed bunkers in good Trent Jones II fashion, don't be fooled in just 'bombing' it out there. Greens are large but undulating so finding the right level is paramount for a two or maybe one putt.

The Scandinavian Old Course
18 holesOn Old Course, accuracy is more important than length. At 6,361 metres or close to 7,000 yards it still takes hitting but the focus is on getting the ball in the right positions of the tee in order to be able to feed the ball into the deceptively small greens and set yourself up for an easy par. The course finds its way back to the designer clubhouse with a tricky Par 5 with water to be contended with on every shot.
