Club de Golf Son Servera

Wieder in Son Servera. Der Platz ist in einem Top-Zustand, grüne, bestens gepflegte Fairways, die Greens in einem sehr guten Zustand und schnell, der Spielfluss (4er-Flight) ist gut - gegenüber der langsamen 5 Stunden Runde im Vorjahr eine Freude. Persönlich kann ich mich dieses Jahr bestens mit dem Platz anfreunden und fühle mich mit meinen Flight-Partnern sehr wohl auf der Runde!

Der Besuch des Golf-Restaurants bescherte uns einen kompetenten und freundlichen Service, sehr gutes Essen (Preis-Leistung stimmt) und gepflegte Getränke! Empfehlenswert!

Wir bekamen im Vorfeld ein Super-Golfpaket von unserem Hotel HIPOCAMPO PALACE in Cala Millor angeboten: 4 Tage unlimitiert Golfen auf 3 Plätzen, mit reservierten Abschlagplätzen - um € 150,00 pro Person. Super!

Son Servera ist ein schöner und abwechslungsreicher Platz. Teilweise hat man Meersicht. Der Platz wirkt gepflegt, die Driving Range ist klein und fein und im Pro Shop findet man auf die Schnelle, was man vergessen hat. Das Restaurant fanden wir mittelmässig.

Op oudejaarsdag een prima golfdag gehad op deze afwisselende baan. De eerste 9 zijn nieuw en gaan grotendeels door bos - met de Pine Trap - een afwisselend gebeuren.

Na de eerste 9 verplicht 10 min rust - half way bij clubhuis - want er is prima koffie.

Daarna de tweede 9 op een meer klassieke baan maar ook weer met voldoende uitdagingen

De laatste 2 holes zijn om de driving range - eigenlijk jammer want deze baan vraagt om een grand finale

Dit was even de laatste evaluatie van Mallorca.

Wij hebben genoten van alle gespeelde banen - in de winter prima locatie om te spelen met lekker weer. De prijzen zijn dan redelijk en het is relatief rustig.

Son Servera is situated in a beautiful environment, superbly embedded with on one part of the course hills and trees and on the other part of the course great views on the bay with nice beaches in the East of Mallorca. Many members are Germans, which use the club as their second home. We experienced the course on one of the last more busy days of the seasons, and it felt a bit too busy. In such case, make sure you have enough time (at least 5 hours) to finish the course before darkness sets in. The course plays well, is not too difficult, requiring precision to make sure you don't get into a larger number than expected water obstacles. It lacks a bit of the finesse of some of the more prominent courses on the island, but the scenery definitely makes it worth a visit when playing golf on Mallorca.

Played on the most windy and rainy day of the year. Waited for about an hour for the rain to clear. The new clubhouse/restaurant is sensational, the staff very friendly, helpful and nice. To my big surprise there was hardly a sign of almost two days of heavy rain when out on the course. Just a few bunkers were partly flooded, and very few 'off the fairway' spots were soaking. The rest was just in great kondition, not even soft. Greens were firm, fast and through. The course has a great feature with its The Pine Trap-holes No. 3-7, which are tight and really demanding. The remaining part of the course is flat, and quite open, and exposed to the wind. Which made it a genuine test of golf. A great experience. Holes no. 17 and 18 are not as attractive as the rest of the course. In a way a little disappointing, but that is just tiny complaint.
