Typisch tschechisches Beispiel - Golf kann auch günstig und einfach sein. Unspektakulärer Durchschnittsplatz, einige nette Löcher, überwiegend Wald- und Wiesengolf. Dank sehr günstiger Greenfees trotzdem gut frequentiert.

Im wondering how to start my review. I haven’t been playing this course for about 6 years. At that time it was still only 9 holes. So I was looking forward to see the other 9. First of all I would like to admit it right away. This is public course, to me one of the best. For the value they charge now 25EUR its very good. Do not expect services like on championship courses. Parking place next to clubhouse is bit small and your car is in constant danger to be hit by golf ball from academy by beginners. If you play a first time there you can get the birdiecard. Tee boxes are too hard to put tee in. Fairways are wide, bunkers were filled with enough sand. Big greens. I was surprised by their speed. They were quite fast my guess is about 7. Sometimes they were bumpy especially the new ones. The old nine has lot of trees new nines are quite open. Course is like the others hit by dry summer but still well maintained. The landscape design is above average. There are few nice teeshots where you have to think where your ball need to land it. From few holes you have nice view on Grabstejn castle. Overall good course for beginners.

De golfbaan ligt op de weg onder het gelijknamige slot. En met zo'n prachtige setting heeft de baan al een mooie pré. Eenmaal in het clubhuis kom je wel weer met beide voeten op de aarde. Dit is gewoon heel basic. Omkleden doe je in de toiletten. Ook de oefenfaciliteiten om het clubhuis heen zijn erg basic, dus de verwachtingen van de baan zijn niet hooggespannen. En daar is de greenfee ook naar.

Daarna valt de baan toch mee. Eerst gaat het met een par 3 en een par 4 heuvel op. Daarna een dogleg naar beneden. En je kunt lekker scoren, want de fairways zijn breed en de holes niet bijster lang.

Hole 4 is weer een dogleg, omhoog. Hole 5 een par 3, die korter is dan staat aangegeven. Leukste holes zijn 6 en 7 op een apart stukje van de baan, waar je via een bospaadje komt. Zes is een par 4 door een dal, en 7 een korte par 4 naar beneden. De laatste holes gaan weer naar beneden, en hole 8 is er weer een waar je kunt scoren. Ook zonder een lange drive in je tas is de green makkelijk in 3 slagen te halen.

Je krijgt weinig slagen mee op deze baan, maar het is fijn met weinig slagen de baan door te komen. En ondertussen kun je genieten van een mooi stukje Tsjechisch landschap.

Once in the clubhouse, you get back to reality. This is very basic. Changing clothes can be done in the toilets. The practice facilities are also quite basic. This tempers the expectations you might have of the golf course, which is in line with the green fee.

After that introduction, the course does not disappoint. First you have some climbing to do with an easy par 3 and 4. After that you get two doglegs, one going down, one going up. Hole 5 is a par 3 which is shorter than indicate. The highlight of the course are hole 6 and 7 which are in a separate part of the course, which is reached by a path through the woods. Siz is a par 4 through a valley, and seven a short par 4 going down. Par 5 eight is once a again easy to score. Even without being a longhitter, it cannot be difficult to reach the green in 3.

The course is easy, and subsequently rated. But once in a while it is a good ego boost to come down with a good score - never mind the stableford ratings. And you get a nice scenery of beautiful Czech countryside thrown in for good measure as well.

Het is een mooie gevarieerde baan. wel negen holes, maar prima om te lopen. Wel heuvelachtig en zeer speciaal.

Zijn zeer vriendelijk kunnen een klein beetje duits.

Maar dat maakt het een onvergetelijke baan.
