Een zeer fraaie echte Links baan. Rollend door de duinen of dan weer ‘vlak’ langs de kust.

Een baan met absolute allura als was het alleen maar als home of stableford. Brede maar soms ook zeer smalle fairways. Scoren is mogelijk maar dan wel recht, niet in de rough en nadenken wat je volgende slag zal zijn. Absolute must when in the area!

Vreselijk mooie moeilijke baan, die helaas door een tekort aan bijliggend grond, nooit een British Open kan organiseren, maar het zeker meer verdiend dan Royal Liverpool. Echt een Duin-Links course. Recht blijven is het advies, In de rough is je bal niet terug te vinden. Deze baan wil je zeker vaker spelen.

Zeer hartelijke ontvangst en je voelt je gelijk welkom. De baan ademt zo veel sfeer uit dat je ok bij een slechte ronde geniet. 1e hole is een mooie opwarmer en daarna moet je aan de bak. hole 2,3 en 4 loopt langs de kust en heb je te maken met straffe wind. Par 3 zijn alle mooi en uitdagend. Greens zijn hard en het is zaak dat je geen target golf speelt zo als wij in NL doen.

All but a handful of holes are played through or over gigantic sand dunes and this makes for scintillating golf.

One of the features at Wallasey is playing your second shot at many of the par fours to raised greens, and it is a couple of these that provide the best holes. The third, aptly named 'Valley', is an excellent hole where first you must thread your drive between a corridor of large sand dunes before rising up to the green high above. Prior to that the first eases you into the round with a tee-shot that restricts you from hitting driver and has a green slightly hidden away whilst the second is the longest par four on the course sweeping to the right but with a couple of well-placed bunkers preventing you taking the shortest route.
