Denmark is one of the most natural foreign golf destinations for Dutch golfers: reachable within a day via the ferry, the language is not too challenging and the golf culture is very similar to the Dutch one. Visiting golfers are welcome at virtually all Danish courses and the atmosphere at most clubs is informal and friendly. Leading Courses favourites include Royal Copenhagen Golf Club and Rungsted Golf Club, both in the Copenhagen region. Royal Copenhagen Golf Club is the oldest active golf club in Denmark, founded in 1898, with a parkland character reminiscent of the finest English heathland courses. Along the west coast of Jutland you'll find a handful of links courses that hold up well in terms of character and challenge against the better-known British examples. Denmark is accessible by car via the Øresund Bridge or by ferry. Copenhagen Airport has direct flights from Amsterdam. The golf season runs from April to October.
