The O'Connor Course

This course stands out alot. Very well designed. One of the best looking club houses ive seen and same can be said for the golf course. Championship worthy easily. Specially off the back tees. Greatly maintained tee boxes and greens. Can be bit pricy but you will see why once you have gotten the first couple shots out.

Der Platz ist sehr hügelig und unterscheidet sich dadurch von den anderen Plätzen an der Algave.

Played this course two days on March 2nd and 3rd on a weekend stay in the resort.

The course is absolutely fabulous, difficult but very enjoyable. Every hole is different as the course winds it’s way up and down the hills surrounding the resort with some spectacular views. There is no crowding as your almost never playing beside another hole. The course and greens were in excellent condition.

All staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The resort itself was quiet but perfect for our fourball on a short trip to just play golf and have a few drinks. Priced very reasonably for accommodation and the food and drink.

We will definitely include this course again on our next trip to this area of the Algarve.

Stayed at the resort from February 29th to March 3rd in a group of four. We played the O'Connor course on March 1st. Course was in excellent condition throughout. Very enjoyable, most holes have wide fairways but with water coming into play on many of them. Spectacular views of the surrounding hills and the clubhouse which is very impressive looking.

We thought this was one of the best course we had played but when we played the Faldo course on the following two days we were blown away.

We found the staff very helpful and polite at both the courses and the clubhouse.

The restaurant and the bar were very good value for money. The resort itself was quiet as was the bar at night which closed at midnight. But for a short trip to play a few rounds of golf and a few drinks with good food and good friends It was perfect and extremely good value for a resort with two top class golf courses.

I would have only two small issues, first was the breakfast each morning which was buffet, it was well laid out with a very good range of food but was a little on the cold side which could easily be rectified by the hotel.

Second is the par three course which is floodlit.

It’s a very well maintained par three with holes from about 75 to 100 yards and greens as good as the main course but we were quoted 100euro for the lights for one hour which we thought was a bit steep so we played it during daylight for free.

I would highly recommend the resort for a short break and we will definitely go out of our way to fit in the Faldo course on our next visit to this area of the Algarve.
