About Laguna Golf Course - Dom Pedro Golf

Family Golf in Vilamoura!

The Laguna Golf Course has earned a reputation as being a somewhat unique offering within the Vilamoura golf portfolio. While its many water hazards and few trees set it apart, it truly finds its individuality in the number of holes which convey characteristics of a traditional links layout. American golf course architect Joseph Lee was given the responsibility for setting out the Laguna Golf Course over low-lying coastal terrain, and in this setting was able to establish 18 holes which offer a wide variety of playing conditions. The course has been continually improved since the first ball was struck in 1990, although it retains all of the appeal of a modern test of golf, through which the strategic positioning of bunkers and a number of water obstacles demand accuracy of play. The Laguna Golf Course shares a well-proportioned and welcoming clubhouse with the neighbouring Millennium Golf Course.

Top baan met vele mooie holes. Goede faciliteiten, mooi clubhuis die aan de bankkantoren helemaal opgezet kan worden. Goede, uitstekende fairways en greens. Vandaag waren ze stimp 10,75. Even opletten bij welke shop je aanmeld er zijn er 2. Minpuntje, route naar de golfbaan is slecht aangegeven maar dat doet geen afbraak aan de baan.

Vandaag deze baan Laguna gespeeld en eergisteren Millennium 2 naast elkaar liggende banen waarvan Laguna het in mijn beleving gewonnen heeft van Millennium Ik vond de totale Lee out van de baan mooier de fairways beter en de greens en tee boxen waren vergelijkbaar. Een mooie dag om te spelen. De aankomst was prima. Na wat zoeken toch een parkeerplek gevonden. Even zelf kijken waar je moet zijn en dan door. De bediening in het restaurant was vriendelijk maar rondom de baan viel dit wat tegen. Bij het halen van de buggy krijg je al snel het gevoel dat men het te druk had en geen moeite voor je wil doen. Open lay-out with some tricky water hazards in play. Good drive puts you in scoring position. But your approach has to be precise. Good greens. After our round we had a nice lunch on the terrace of the clubhouse with a great view on the course. Ideal course for a relaxing holiday round of golf.

We speelden op deze baan op het moment dat de European Tour Dom Pedro bezocht. Hoewel er voldoende reuring was, waren de faciliteiten prima te gebruiken. Parkeren kan voor de deur. In het clubhuis worden 2 banen bediend, naast Laguna ook Millennium. De ontvangst is niet bijzonder vriendelijk. De driving range is prima,6 euro voor een mandje ballen is wel fors geprijsd.…
