The Emirates Golf Club, host of the Dubai Desert Classic, was the first all-grass championship golf course in the Middle East when it opened in 1988. Taking pride in its 36 holes of world-class golf, the Club remains one of the wonders of the golfing world boasting two of the city’s finest must-see courses; the 7,185 yard, par 72 Majlis course and the recently redesigned 7,328-yard, par 72 Wadi course - now officially renamed ‘Faldo Course’. Both courses combine the natural rolling desert terrain for a serious test of golf, while the signature clubhouse, in the shape of Bedouin tents, remains the most eye-catching in the region.

Super parcours de golf urbain! Tout d’abord l’environnement et la vue imprenable sur la skyline de Dubaï est un réel point fort. L’entretien du golf est vraiment de haut niveau comme l’ensemble des golfs que j’ai pu joué sur dubaï. Les greens, fairways, roughs, aire de départs, etc... sont impeccables. Le tracé est très varié et permet de pouvoir être agressif. Les roughs sont relativement denses et les obstacles bien placés.
Si vous êtes sur dubai je vous conseille le majlis du Emirates golf club et l’earth course du Jumeirah à faire à tout prix.

After the sandy experience in Ruwais back to a beautiful grass course, one of the oldest courses in the region and selected by the European Tour for the desert Classic in Januari. The reception as all the staff in the middle East dealing with foreigners very helpful and polite All the practice facilities are very well maintained despite the hot weather in the summer. Now the condition are perfect especially starting early or calculated the sunset 4 hours back and play the afternoon. We played the Faldo course which is a bit more general with big bunkers and water hazards. The other course more in desert views You can also play at night as the floodlit 18-hole course continues to light up the night sky enabling golfers to enjoy a full round of 18 hole championship golf in the heart of Dubai by nice temperatures. The characteristic clubhouse in the form of Bedouin tents is still the eye-catcher. The course and greens are excellent condition and very good to get a decent score on the par 72 course.
Also enjoy all the high rise buildings when driving from hole to hole as a golfcart is mandatory and no bad idea with the local temperatures.
Recommendable when in the area and easy to reach when staying in Dubai.

Majlis Championship Course
18 holesThe flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, The Majlis championship course is a challenging par 72, 7,301-yard layout. Designed by Florida-based course architect Karl Litten, the original 18 holes were built in and around the dunes of a beautiful site on the edge of the city of Dubai, donated by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on whose instructions the desert flora was maintained in its natural state.
Par 3 course
9 holesOne of Dubai's most attractively maintained courses, Emirates Golf Club's Par 3 course offers plenty of challenges for all, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player. Measuring 1,239 yards from the blue tees, the course is ideal for practicing your iron play, as well as for family or introductory golf. The longest hole on the course is the 194-yard third hole, while the fourth hole is the shortest at 96 yards. The course will encourage beginners and entice players looking to hone their short game skills. Set against the backdrop of the attractive Dubai Marina skyline, the course is designed around nine short yardage holes, each guaranteeing that no two shots will be the same. The venue of the Omega Dubai Ladies' Masters and the Omega Dubai Desert Classic Challenge Matches, the course has some of the toughest Par 3 holes in the emirate.
Faldo Championship Course
18 holesEmirates Golf Club's second championship golf course, which opened in 1996, was named 'The Wadi', taken from the Arabic word for 'valley'. Redesigned in 2005 by golf legend and six-time major winner Nick Faldo, the course now combines a stunning visual design with the nuances and challenges of any championship course in just the right measure, providing visitors an exceptionally enjoyable golfing experience.
