The Mercury Bay Golf Course is a fine 18-hole facility situated on the southern outskirts of the exciting Whitianga in the beautiful Coromandel Peninsula. The Course is set in a beautiful park-like setting, with an abundance of native trees and birds. It is an easy walking course, however power carts are available if desired. The course is mostly flat and provides an easy walking experience for all ages and abilities. We have a large number of membership options including practice areas, Clubhouse and bar facilities, a large car park suitable for camper vans and concession cards for 9 & 18 holes. The course is challenging, requiring some shots to be shaped around trees and to fit doglegs of both directions. The greens have been rated as among the best in the area. The fairways and rough are generally greener than others due to the favourable climate conditions here.

Rustige baan, geen bunkers, slechte fairways en verbluffend mooie e snelle green. Erg ongezellig clubhuis.
Je mag zelf thee en koffie zetten en geld daarvoor in een potje doen. Wij speelden (vanwege het onweer) 9 holes, dus de tweede 9 hebben we helaas niet gezien. Prijs kwaliteit niet helemaal in verhouding. 50 NZ dollar p.p.

Net als vele banen in new zealand, bestaat er ook de mogelijkheid om op deze camping te overnachten, na gespeeld te hebben. (met gebruik van sanitaire voorzieningen in het clubhuis)
De baan zelf is door veel mooi " oud" groen omgeven en redelijk onderhouden. De fairways zijn, zoals vele banen in NZ, droog en dor, door gebrek aan regen en aanleg van sproei-installaties. Jammer dat er naast de fairways "rommel" wordt gedumpt, wat de baan een rommelig aanzicht geeft.
Materiaal is op de club te huur, maar niet altijd van goede kwaliteit.
Leuke baan, maar niet bijzonder.
