Gary Player Country Club

Un vrai challenge de golf. Moins scénique que le Lost mais plus golfique. A priori moins fréquenté car ne peut se jouer qu’à pied avec un caddie. Au green du 9 tous les noms des vainqueurs du Nedbank sont inscrits sur les escaliers menant au Green (et la photo de Tommy Fleetwood trône à l’entrée du club house). Les greens sont superbes. Un petit bémol sur certains bunkers manquant de sable! Un super moment de golf.

Sun City, die etwas in die Jahre gekommene Spiel und Spass Entklave mitten im nirgendwo lässt niemanden kalt. Der von der gleichnahmigen südafrikanischen Golflegende 1978 entworfene Gary Player Country Club, ist ein 18-Loch-Par-72 Meisterschaftsplatz und eine golferische Herausforderung für Alle. Dieses kleine Golfparadies, das in einem erloschenen Vulkankrater gebaut wurde wartet mit tadellosem Platzzustand, schnellen Greens und einer Länge von 6550 m (Gelbe Tees) auf. Hier findet auch die jährliche Nedbank Golf Challenge in Rahmen der European- und Sunshine Tour statt. Ein Caddy ist auf diesem "Walking" Parcour zu empfehlen. Die Tierwelt mit Schlangen, Affenhorden, Vögel und anderem wertet eine Runde Golf auf diesem Spitzenplatz weiter auf.

Sun City, the somewhat outdated golf and gambling oasis in the middle of nowhere leaves no one cold. The Gary Player Country Club, designed by the same South African golf legend in 1978, is an 18-hole par-72 championship course and a golfing challenge for all. This small golf paradise, built in an extinct volcanic crater, boasts impeccable course condition, fast greens and a length of 6550 m (yellow tees). This is also where the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge takes place as part of the European and Sunshine Tour. A caddy is recommended on this "walking" course. The animal world with snakes, hordes of monkeys, birds and others further enhances a round of golf on this top course.

Great course helpful caddies. Not as interesting as the other course at Sun City ie Lost City which has you hitting over the crocodiles at hole 13 where the green is shape of Africa.

Mediocre lunch at halfway house could be improved.

Top course, famous from Nedbank tournament. It can be very long but we played friendly tees. Still a though test! You'll probably see some wildlife. So many good and beautiful holes especially 14-18 I realy like those! Drivingrange is not near the course thats a shame. Compared to courses in Joburg the courses in Sun City are expensive. Still, just go there, it's an experience.

Une nouvelle fois dans le top mondial, mais attention grosse fréquentation (parties de 4). Le lieu est un lieu d'attraction et se partage avec Lost City l'autre parcours de cette ville d'Entertainement. Celui de Gary Player est magnifique, difficile, long,..., et à raison puisque c'est celui du NedBank depuis de nombreuses années. Vos partenaires seront donc la plupart du temps single index. Entretien irréprochable, de l'eau à passer, à longer,... Trou 18 magnifique trou 9 aussi.

Le Club House quant à lui n'est pas aussi beau que le parcours car il intègre le complexe hôtelier.
