About Club de Golf Retamares

Championship Course designed by Jose MariaOlazabal

The “Club de Golf Los Retamares” consists of an 18-hole round with a par of 72 where both beginners and the most experienced players will have the opportunity to use all of their clubs. The course is situated to the north-west of Madrid and is just 30 kilometres from the city centre. It is easy to get to and lies between the towns of Algete and Alalpardo. It's a great place to improve your quality game thanks to the fantastic facilities and the sheer size of the course. The course was built by the team of architects of "Integral Golf Design" working in consultation with the international golf champion José María Olazabal and the features of the course and the wonderful design ensure that each hole will provide a fresh and constant challenge. To arrive at this course, you have a beautiful drive through the Spanish country side, accompanied by wonderful views. These are only a preparation for what is to come during the round of golf. One of my favourites in Madrid, really welcoming, great Chema’s design. Ask for the gps buggies. Awesome restaurant and great prices. Select hotel in the club house.

Mooie geaccidenteerde baan op ruim half uur buiten Madrid. Knap hoe ondanks droogte baan in prima conditie was. Schitterend vergezichten. Snelle greens. Onvoldoende informatie over de baan en bewegwijzering soms onduidelijk. Gigantisch groot clubhuis waar je overigens heerlijk en betaalbaar kunt lunchen.

The golf course is great and very interesting. The starter is also experienced dealing with many different nationalities. The club house staff are really proactive but there are a few areas that need improvement. 1. The security guy on the barrier needs to understand English as not everyone can speak Spanish. 2. Great course. Stay is very friendly and the course is well maintained, especially for the winter months. The round was 4 hrs and had some very scenic views of open fields leading up to snow covered mountain tops. I’d definitely play here again.
