Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society

The Bruntsfield Links Golfing Society is the fourth oldest golf club in the world dating back to 1761. The course was originally designed by Willie Park Jnr and later modified by Dr Alister Mackenzie the architect of Augusta, Cypress Point and Royal Melbourne. Bruntsfield offers a challenging and well developed 18 Hole Par 71 mature parkland course with panoramic views over the Firth of Forth. In June 2015 Bruntsfield hosted the regional qualifying for The Open Championship The grand clubhouse offers excellent dining facilities, famous for Golfers Lunches which are often said to be on a par with those at Muirfield and Prestwick. A collection of ancient featherie golf balls and hickory clubs can be found in the Sandy Watson Room and main hall which date back to the origins of the game.More
